Product Description

One of my favorite travel destinations was a trip to the Venezuelan Amazon in the 1990s. Among the plethora of highlights was hiking along the bottom of the Orinoco River among the giant boulders during the dry season. During the wet season, these awesome wonders are completely submerged by the water.

The textures created by the cables in this shrug reminded me of the gorgeous riverbed landscape. Shrug is worked in one piece, then the underarms of the sleeves are seamed together. Stitches are then picked up for the optional border. The pattern includes instructions to work a long-sleeved or a three-quarter sleeved shrug, and instructions for the optional border.
